03Eligibility

Who is eligible for Maharashtra NEET PG 2026?

You must meet NEET PG eligibility and the additional admission conditions for the seat category you apply for.

Basic NEET PG eligibility (NBEMS)

01

An MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate recognized under the applicable medical education regulations.

02

Permanent or provisional registration of the MBBS qualification with the NMC, erstwhile MCI or a State Medical Council, as applicable.

03

Completion of the compulsory rotating internship within the prescribed eligibility deadline.

04

Fulfilment of the NEET PG 2026 examination and admission eligibility requirements.

Maharashtra domicile?

State Candidature is decided by the Maharashtra admission rules and the current brochure. A domicile certificate alone should not be assumed to make you eligible for every state quota seat — check your MBBS qualification, institution and other credentials too.

MBBS from another state?

Distinguish carefully between State Quota and Institutional Quotaeligibility. Qualifying for NEET PG counselling nationally doesn't make you eligible for every Maharashtra state quota seat.

Wait for the 2026 brochure

Detailed 2026 eligibility rules, including those for candidates from outside Maharashtra, must be checked against the official information brochure when released.
04Fees & security deposit

Three payments you shouldn't confuse

1

Registration fee

Charged for submitting the counselling application.

2

Security deposit

Advance collected under counselling rules — refunded or forfeited depending on participation and allotment.

3

College admission & tuition fees

Payable to the allotted institution after admission.

What were the Maharashtra NEET PG 2025 fees?2025 reference
