    Admission & Eligibility Criteria for the USA

    Students who want to get admission to a top medical college in the USA should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in 12th standard from any recognized Indian central or State Board with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. If the percentage of a particular student is less than 50% then an entrance test for qualifying becomes mandatory. If a student does not have Biology, Physics and Chemistry as a part of their choice of stream in the 12th standard, then they need to go through a pre-medical year. Good scores in IELTS or TOEFL are required as proof of English proficiency. Students must appear for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) for getting admission to MBBS in the USA. This test judges the knowledge of reasoning, science and writing skills of students and it is a computer-based test of 4 to 5 hours.
