    Eligibility & Admission-

    To study an MBBS course in any medical college in Bangladesh, candidates should not be younger than 17 years of age and older than 25 years of age in the admission year. Students must qualify for the NEET entrance examination. Every candidate must have completed 10+2 education in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the main subject with at least 50% marks for General and OBC and 40% for the reserved candidates. There should not be more than a one-year gap.

    • Biochemistry
    • Pathology: General pathology, systematic pathology, haematology & clinical pathology.
    • Microbiology: Bacteriology, immunology, virology, parasitology & mycology.
    • Medicine: Internal medicine, paediatrics, psychiatry, dermatology, venereal diseases and physical medicine.
    • Community medicine
    • Forensic medicine
    • Pharmacology and therapeutics
    • Obstetrics and Gynaecology: Neonatology and family planning
    • Surgery: General and regional surgery, orthopaedics, traumatology, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, anaesthesiology, radiology, radiotherapy, blood transfusion and dentistry.

    Career & Jobs-

    • Postgraduation by taking the FCPS and BCPS examinations under the BCPS. MCPS examination requires at least 4 years of training after graduation as eligibility criteria.

    • Two years after the completion of MBBS, one has to apply for MS or MD.

    • One can pursue an MBA after MBBS to have a better knowledge of staff administration for the best services. MBA after MBBS can open a lot more opportunities.

    • Masters in Medical Sciences and Technology combines both sciences and technology. It concentrates on Medical Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Healthcare Imaging, etc.

    • Diploma/Master’s in Operational Health that involves occupational health and safety domains like tackling health-related ailments or preventing any kind of workplace disaster

    • M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering & Biological Sciences. A degree of 1-2 years can open many job opportunities in Biomedical Engineering.

    • Diplomate of National Board. A 3-year course that trains you in the field of your choice and trains you to deal with emergency situations. This course is often considered equivalent to an MD/MS and is recognised by the Medical Council of India(MCI).
