    About Management Aptitude Test or MAT

    Management Aptitude Test or MAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admissions to MBA/PGDM courses. The exam is conducted four times in a year – February, May, September and December. Candidates who qualify the exam are eligible for admissions to 800+ B-schools accepting MAT scores. As per the recent high court order, Maharashtra B-schools will also accept MAT score for admission.

    MAT is conducted in offline (Paper Based Test or PBT), online (Computer Based Test or CBT) and remote proctored (Internet Based Test or IBT) modes. Candidates can choose to appear in the exam in any mode as per their preference. Fees, exam pattern and syllabus for all three modes are same but exam dates are different.

    MAT Exam is one of the most popular National level MBA entrance exams in India after CAT. More than 600 MBA/PGDM Colleges are accepting the MAT exam Scores for Admission 2021. In its notification AIMA has clarified that there are 600+ Participating B-Schools who use MAT scores. This includes the 330+ MBA colleges in Maharashtra who offer PGDM and MBA/MMS programmes.

    MAT Eligibility Criteria

    • The candidate should have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.
    • The candidates who have completed a professional degree such as CA, CS or ICWA are also eligible to apply for the MAT exam.
    • Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply.
