    About Masters Of Engineering

    Master’s in Engineering is a postgraduate program which is of 1-2 years duration consisting of four semesters.The students who have pursued a bachelor degree in engineering can go for a masters degree in engineering.

    Through this course, the students are given professional training and theoretical knowledge in terms of advanced engineering concepts and deals with developing and designing various engineering products. Based on the stream opted by the student at the graduation level, the students can choose their stream for the Masters in Engineering course.The admission to the Masters in Engineering course can be either through an entrance exam or through direct admission.

    ME Engineering : Admission Process

    • Candidates will be admitted to ME Engineering Design based on the marks obtained in the BTech or BE degree from any college recognized under UGC/AIU and the marks obtained in the entrance exams.
    • The candidate can apply for the ME Engineering Design online on the admission portal of the individual college website.
    • Alternatively, the candidate can choose to apply offline by visiting the college campus in person.
    • All updates pertaining to the admission of the course will be available on the website.
    • Candidates are required to attend National level exams like GATE, or state-level entrance exams like TANCET, university-level exams like BITS HD.
    • Candidates will be selected based on the cut-off marks obtained in the entrance exam. The cut-off marks will be different for each college depending on the rank and reputation of the college.
    • The selected candidates will have to participate in Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted by individual colleges. Certain colleges will admit the students based on the Cut-Off marks alone.
    • The admission process will continue based on the cumulative marks obtained from entrance test marks and marks from in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

    ME Engineering Design: Eligibility Criteria

    • The basic eligibility criteria for admission to ME Engineering Design across all colleges in India is that he/she should have cleared the BTech or BE degree from any recognized college or university.
    • Candidates have to attend the National level, state-level entrance exams, or university level exams depending on the college they wish to apply for.
    • Certain colleges conduct Group Discussion and Personal Interview for candidates who have scored the minimum cut-off marks in the entrance exams.

    ME Engineering : Entrance Exams

    GATE: GATE is a national level examination held to assess the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering, Technology or Architecture and post-graduate subjects in Arts, Science, and Commerce. The total duration for the GATE exam will be 3 hours.
